Recording Non Billable Time

If you need field workers to record all their time worked each day, regardless of whether it was billable or not, Tradify allows for this through Non Billable Time entries.

Non Billable Time can be recorded on both the Web Console and the Mobile App.

Non Billable Time on the Web Console

1) Click on the main Timesheets menu

2) Click on the Staff Member in the Timesheets grid.  This will expand the view for that Staff Member, showing all their time entries for the current week.

3) Click on the "big green button' in the bottom right hand corner for a "New Timesheet Entry"  for the Staff Member selected.

4) Enter the Date, Start and End times and add a Note to explain the reason for the Non Billable Time, i.e. Admin, Lunch, Sick Leave, Annual Leave, Travel etc. Then click "Save".

When the Job field is left blank, Tradify classifies this time entry as Non Billable.

You have the option of selecting a special Billing Rate to further classify the time entry but this is not mandatory, as Non Billable Time is never invoiced.

Non Billable Time accrues to the Week Total, which includes all time entered (Billable and Non Billable) whereas the Billable Total accrues only Billable time.

The Productivity Report under the main Reports menu, provides a ratio of the Non Billable time in relation to the total time entered.

 

Non Billable Time on the Mobile App

1) Tap on the main Timesheets menu at the bottom of the Mobile App.

2) Tap on the Date to select the day to enter Non Billable Time for.

3) Click on + sign top right of the screen to add a time entry.

4) Enter the Start and Finish times and add a Note to explain the reason for the Non Billable Time, i.e. Admin, Lunch, Sick Leave, Annual Leave, Travel etc. Then click "Save".

When the Job field is left blank, Tradify classifies this time entry as Non Billable.
